POTD – Free Run

I needed to get my butt back into shape. I’m getting closer to the 40 year old mark, as my wife ALWAYS reminds me. So to get myself in the mood to workout again and start to get back into shape I decided to buy some new running shoes. There are so many options out there for running shoes, it’s almost overwhelming looking for the “right” pair. I normally go with New Balance or Asics but I decided to go try some Nike this time. I wanted shoes that were light and comfortable. I decided to go with the Nike Free Run+3. Just got them and they were perfect! Super light, really comfortable and looks good too.

POTD – No Rain and All Smile

Here is my niece Alyssa.  She was outside in my backyard dancing and twirling a pink and white umbrella.  I also couldn’t help but notice what she was wearing. The jacket she had on was purple with a nice sheen to it.  I had to interrupt her play time and make her pose for a few shots.  I mean, what kind of uncle would I be if I didn’t take a picture :-)

BookBook – iPhone 5 Case

Well, I finally got a case for my new phone.  I couldn’t decide what case to go with, to be honest I didn’t really know what I wanted.  I know I wanted it to last a whole two years till I upgrade again.  So I needed something durable, no off brand junk.  I wanted a company that been in the market for a while and has a good reputation.  After searching on-line and in local malls, I decided to go with the 12 South brand.  They’re a small company with only 12 employees located in SC, hence the name 12 South.  They produce Apple accessories, and only Apple accessories.  After a couple of days of reading the review of their products I decided to pull the trigger on their BookBook iPhone Case.  The case holds the iPhone and 4 – 5 cards along with some cash. This is perfect for me because is combines my phone with my wallet.  One less thing for me to forget when I’m rushing out the door in the morning.  It’s made to look like a book which is fine with me, I think it’s kinda cool.  I have this case for about a week now and so far so good.  I have no complaint about the case so far.  I thought the size of the case would bother me, but I hardly notice in my pocket through out my day.  I have to give the guys at 12 South two thumbs up for a cool case!

It looks like a little vintage journal book. It blends right in with the books on my shelf.

POTD – Upgrade

I finally upgraded my iPhone 4 to the latest and greatest iPhone 5.  Best Buy had a deal for $149 with a two-year contract renew.  I thought that was a great deal so my fiance and I went to Best Buy to see if they had any in stock and what do you know, they did!  So the cost of the upgrade was $149 and they gave me $135 for my old iPhone 4 and total out of my pocket was $27 for the upgrade.  Not bad if you ask me.
